It gives me great pleasure to see more and more Wholesale Fabric Distributors supporting local design and manufacturing. The days of importing designer fabrics are coming to an end. The reason being we have the technology and creative design skills on our doorstep here in Cape Town to compete. There is no need to hold expensive stock of imported fabrics as locally printed ranges can be turned around efficiently enough. There is no difference between printing overseas or printing locally as the same screens and dyes are used here as in Europe. In fact locally printed fabric may be better as the designer can spend time on the printing floor developing and supervising their product. LOCAL IS LEKKER.
