It’s safe to say, that Cape Town has never had a shortage of creativity in the design of fashion, interiors, arts and crafts.
However, the problem lies with the manufacture and production of creative designs. Often, this leaves artists limited to only what can be generated with the available printing equipment.
Up until now, this was the reality for designers living in Cape Town.
Today I am happy to be printing textile design onto loomstate.
Why? - because this type of fabric has become obscure, almost forgotten.
It is an unpredictable fabric, which is why mills hardly sell it today.
