Wash care instructions for printed fabrics
Pigment print has a limited lifespan and may fade over time. The quality of the fabric base and wash care can play an important part in the longevity of your fabrics.
Fabrics should be prepared for printing, ‘PFP’, and free of all impurities.
Softener should be removed before printing because the ink needs to fix itself to the fabric and not the softener solution.
For best results with printed fabrics:
- Gentle hand wash separately in cold water.
- Avoid strong detergents, hard spinning, hot or industrial wash.
- Do not bleach.
- Drip dry – do not wring.
- Do not scrub.
- Iron on reverse.
Fabric Care Labels
Each fabric quality will have its own unique wash fast properties to pigment printing. Customers are liable for their own fabric tests prior to bulk manufacture. Labels with the necessary wash care instructions should accompany all fabric products.
Optional fabric coatings
We have coatings that can improve wet or dry rub fastness and fixing agents for problematic fabrics . Our softening agent may be applied to the fabric after printing.
Imaterial will not be held liable for any costs once the printed fabric has been cut or processed in any way.
